Modern
Modern dance is great preparation for high school dance and college dance. Modern explores movement, space, rhythm and the dancer’s own creativity with emphasis on momentum, shapes and patterns. This form of dance is inspired by nature, music, art and human emotions. Our modern classes are accompanied by a live percussionist using congas, a drum kit and other percussive instruments during these classes to enhance the students’ experience.
- Intro to Modern: Students must be in Ballet 2 or higher to participate in these classes.
- Modern 1 : Students must be enrolled in Teen Ballet 2 or Ballet 3 or higher to participate in these classes.
- Modern 2: Students must be enrolled in Teen Ballet 3 or Ballet 4 enrollment required.
- Modern 3: Students must be enrolled in Ballet 5 or Ballet 6.
Dress Code
Students not appropriately dressed will be asked to observe class. This includes missing shoes. This is for the safety of our students.
No jewelry in any class except for medical bracelets and small stud earrings.
Please have all hair accessories packed in your child’s dance bags or have their hair done before coming to class.
