Lia Koski has been dancing since she was 5 years old. She has been a student at LAD for over 8 years and is grateful for the community LAD has provided her. Lia is trained in all styles of dance including musical theatre, contemporary, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, pointe, modern and ballet. Lia has prioritized her training in ballet because she believes it is an essential part of a dancer’s foundation. Lia has assisted dance classes in all styles at LAD for 3 seasons and has also subbed for teachers during the year. Lia is beyond excited to be teaching her own ballet class this upcoming year. She is looking forward to fostering the same love for dance in her students that she found when she was young. Lia hopes to continue to dance in college next fall because it is a large part of her identity. Lia loves dance because it is an expressive outlet.
