Chloe McWard was born and raised in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, where she trained competitively before shifting her focus to pre-professional ballet training in high school. During that time, she had the opportunity to compete at the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) Finals and perform leading roles in full-length ballets, including The Nutcracker and Giselle, furthering her passion for technical excellence and artistry.
Following high school, Chloe trained as a trainee with BalletMet in Columbus, Ohio, where she studied under the direction of Maria Torija, Carrie West-Suslov, Dmitri Suslov, and Zoica Tovar. During her time with BalletMet, she performed in The Nutcracker choreographed by Gerard Charles, Alice in Wonderland by Edwaard Liang, Don Quixote, and Études. She then continued her professional training at the CLI Conservatory, where she worked closely with renowned choreographers and educators including Teddy Forance, Martha Nichols, Riley Watts, Theresa Stone, Casey Gonzalez, Liana Blackburn, and many other leaders in the commercial, concert, and musical theatre dance industries. While at CLI, Chloe collaborated with Ali Pfleger on a dance film No Final Bow and performed works by Keenan Cooks, Ashley Cruz, Billy Griffin, and Ethan Colangelo.
Passionate about both performance and education, Chloe strives to create a positive and encouraging classroom environment where dancers feel challenged to grow while building strong technique, confidence, artistry, and a lifelong love of dance. She is excited to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with the next generation of dancers as a member of the faculty at Lincolnshire Academy of Dance!
