Deborah Silvers

Executive Director, Ballet, Pointe, Musical Theatre, Jazz, Lyrical

Deborah Silvers received her dance training as a scholarship student at Lincolnshire Academy of Dance where she served as a student assistant for 6 years. As a student at LAD, Silvers had the pleasure to train under Brenda Didier and the rest of the LAD faculty. Her experience at LAD helped cultivate her passion for teaching the art and discipline of dance.

Silvers is a graduate from Stevenson High School, where she had the opportunity to perform and choreograph with the Concert Dance Company. Additionally, Silvers was fortunate enough to perform in an original work by world-renowned choreographer, Randy Duncan.

While attending DePaul University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a BS in English Literature, Silvers started her teaching career at LAD. In addition to teaching, she served as Company Director for LAD’s performance company (2012-2015) and as an administrative assistant.

Silvers continues to expand her dance education by consistently taking class from reputable artists in the Chicagoland area. In 2010, Silvers received the Peff Pointe Teacher Certification at the 200 hour level. She has also had the pleasure of performing in various works, including, Streaming Still choreographed by Mary Tisa for “Still Inspired (?)” (Chicago), and as the dance captain in the opera La Vie Parisienne at Northeastern Illinois University.

Deborah is excited to start her tenth season as an instructor at LAD. She is thrilled to start working closely with the studio’s faculty, students and families as LAD’s new Executive Director.
