We welcome LAD alum Lisette to our teaching staff for her first season! Lisette started ballet when she was 4 years old and has not stopped dancing. She has danced in several ballet studios before starting college and has been trained in the Vaganova method. She trained at LAD during high school and previously trained at Illinois Classical Ballet. In these studios, she performed in Swan Lake and La Bayadere productions and performed various classical ballet variations. Lisette has competed in YAGP and placed Top 24 in the classical ballet category. During college, she was a dancer with the Illinois Ballet Company featuring excerpts from classical ballets. She studied ballet at the Urbana Fine Arts Center and was a member of the ballet company, Dance Theater of Illinois, where I performed a few classical and contemporary pieces on stage. Lisette is thrilled to be teaching this season and meeting her new dancers!
