Miss Shannon Mulvey attended Stevenson High School where she was a member of Varsity Patriettes for 3 years and concert dance.
She received a BFA in Dance from Jacksonville University in Florida as a Merit Scholarship Student – Deans Chair and performed in numerous countries including Germany, Netherland Antilles, and Costa Rica. Shannon choreographed for Episcopal High School Fine Arts Program as well as their Musical Theatre Production of “Once Upon a Mattress” while in Florida.
After completing her BFA Shannon returned to Chicago teaching at LAD, performing with Dance in The Parks , Dance Chance Redux, “Cats” with Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre, “The King & I” with Porchlight Music Theatre and co-choreographed “The Drowsy Chaperone” at Carthage College, Bailiwick’s production of “Damn Yankees” and guest choreographed for Stevenson High School’s Dance Concert.
Shannon moved to London in 2013 to attend Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance. She was a guest teacher at Northern Dance Centre in Skipton, England, as well as faculty teacher at International Movement Dance Workshop in Cyprus. Shannon choreographed and performed in Laban’s Showcase in 2013-2015.
Shannon recently graduated with her MFA in Creative Practice (Dance) and is delighted to be back with her students at LAD!
